AEO & GEO Checker (AI Search Readiness)
Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) are how pages get cited in AI answers — not just ranked as blue links. This checker tests the crawlable signals those systems actually read.

What AEO and GEO actually measure
AEO is visibility in answer engines (Google AI Overviews, featured snippets, People Also Ask). GEO is being cited by generative tools such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Copilot. Both need crawlable content, clear entities, and crawler access — not a new meta tag that magically ranks you.
The checks that matter
We look for llms.txt, whether GPTBot / Google-Extended / ClaudeBot are blocked sitewide, FAQPage or question headings, and Organization or Person JSON-LD. Those are the machine-readable hooks. Content quality still decides whether you deserve the citation.
Why blocking AI bots backfires
Cloudflare and similar panels often disallow GPTBot by default. That hides you from the answers people are already reading. Allow the crawlers you want citations from; block only training if that is a deliberate policy.
